The Tangentially Speaking podcast with Dr. Chris Ryan came out this week. It is great exposure for the nonprofit mission. In this post, I'm going more in depth about the process, the conversation, and my thoughts on how it went.
But first, if you haven't seen or heard the conversation, you can find it anywhere you find podcasts. If you want to avoid the unrelated introduction portions, you can watch the conversation right here or on YouTube:
How I Met Chris Ryan
Chris Ryan came onto my radar shortly after his New York Times best selling book Sex at Dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality came out. I first heard him speak on the Duncan Trussell Family Hour podcast, probably around 2013 or so. Duncan Trussell, a comedian and podcast host, quickly found a kindred spirit in Chris and they developed a relationship that culminated in a short-lived recurring podcast with Joe Rogan on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. The three friends talked about anything and everything and called their shared podcast episodes the Shrimp Parade.
